Crowns

Crowns are fixed covers or caps that structurally support teeth. They can be either gold or porcelain (tooth color). Crowns are tightly bonded to the tooth and/or teeth and are used to repair teeth that have been badly broken, that have root canal fillings, that are malformed, that are discolored, or that need a better bite (occlusion). The procedure begins by trimming the tooth, then taking an impression (mold) of the top and bottom teeth, then a crown is fabricated to fit over the trimmed tooth and lastly, the crown is then cemented or bonded to complete the restoration of the tooth.

This is all done by our trained dental professionals with the latest dental techniques and comfort in mind. A crown can last up to 10 to 15 years, especially if you pay close attention to the things you chew, avoiding a lot of hard candy and ice for example.
