With our current Invisalign promotion, we thought it would be a good time to talk about the process of this teeth-straightening procedure.

Invisalign has come as a welcome relief for many people who have wanted straight teeth in the past, but did not want to undergo the traditional braces route. Whether it was for esthetic reasons, or the time commitment involved, traditional braces have had some people opting out of straight teeth.

However, with it’s rise in popularity, Invisalign has fast become the solution to this problem. With the same basic ability to correct your smile in a gradual, invisible, and convenient way, Invisalign is a fairly straightforward process.

The Consultation

You will first want to visit our Langley dentists, or one of our other dental offices, to see if you are a good candidate for Invisalign. Invisalign is not intended to correct all your oral concerns as it pertains to straight teeth and the various other factors that could be involved with that, but rather, it is a cosmetic approach to straightening teeth. That being said, not everyone is a good candidate for this procedure, which is why a consultation is required.

Your First Appointment

On your first appointment, x-rays will be taken, as well as impressions of your teeth will be created. From there, your dental professional will send this to the Invisalign professionals, who create a digital 3-D image for you in order to see the finished results.

Your Second Appointment

Once your dental professional has received the 3-D images back, they can begin your treatment plan, and explain to you how your teeth will move and adjust, as well as offer you a virtual representation of each stage.

Additional Appointments

You will be given a set of aligners, and each aligner will put into motion the shift of your teeth. You will wear them every day, removing them only when you eat, or to brush and floss your teeth.

Your retainers are changed every 2 weeks, and your dentists will conduct a checkup to chart your progress every 6 weeks or so. If you are consistent at keeping your aligners in place 20 to 22 hours per day, your treatment should only take around a year.

At DentistsRUs, healthy smiles make us happy. So call our Langley dentists or another Dentists R Us office in your area to make an appointment today, and get in on the $1200 Invisalign savings!
